I loved this one! I had been interested in Piper since she first came along as a support character. Both Piper and Erik have issues and struggle with their feelings and what each other may or may not be thinking or feeling. I kept going from start through to the end with my fingers crossed that they could get all the issues past and be together. I am going to recommend this to all my reader friends. I love Toni Aleo's writing style and the Assassins Series as a whole is amazing!
WOW! I was so in love with the characters in this one! Brooke and Remington have amazing chemistry. Melanie was such a great support character for Brooke. There were times when it was all I could do to just keep reading because there was so much emotion. I could not put the book down, I just kept wanting to see where they were going.
Brooke: My.God. Dimples. Dark Scruffy Jaw. Boyish Smile. Man's Body. Killer Tan.
Remington: "Brooke", he growls softly, meaningfully, against my lips as he draws back with a smile, "I'm Remington."
See instantly! I just had to see where things would go from there. I mean he jumps from the ring to follow Brooke. Remington kisses her, asks her name and phone number. WOW! True they both have things to work through but they chemistry from their first meeting was off the charts.
I'm not a big boxing and fighting fan but the sport side of things had my attention as well as the characters. Katy Evans has a wonderful way of drawing you into the story.
I prefer a good book, over a good night's sleep. If I don't have my kindle on me when I leave the house, hell must have frozen over. This blog is my opportunity to share what makes me laugh, cry, and hate that a book has ended.
