There’s nothing worse for a writer than missing a deadline. For Griffin Montgomery, his failure to do what he loves comes at a blow. He didn’t understand how it was affecting his life until his well-meaning family intercedes. His sisters have hired him a new personal assistant and he’s outraged—that is, until he sees who it is.
Autumn Minor is light on her feet and a bare memory for most people she meets. She does her best to blend in everywhere she lives, even if it’s only for a short period of time. Making sure no one truly notices her is the only way she’s survived this long. Only when she meets Griffin and the rest of the Montgomerys, she’s afraid she won’t be able to let go when its time to run.
Though the two begin a tentative but explosive relationship, they know it can’t last forever. Neither of them are made for the long haul when it comes to love and romance. When the demons from Autumn’s past find her and put both their lives at risk, Griffin will stop at nothing to protect her. In the end, though, he'll be the one who needs a second chance.

Can I just start by saying I love the whole Montgomery Ink family. However I have to say that Griffin and Autumn are my favorite couple so far. Griffin was one of the stories I had been patiently waiting for. Carrie Ann Ryan did an amazing job with Griffin's story. I knew there had to be so much more to Griffin than what I had seen in the previous books and I loved getting to read his story. Autumn was such a sweet but complex person. She had been through so much but was still so caring and kind. Although the Montgomery family is hard to resist. I really enjoyed Griffin's reaction to meeting Autumn almost as much as when she starts working for him. Griffin has always seemed so together that it was fun to see someone knock him for a loop. Autumn was just so loveable and seemed to know when to push Griffin and when to let things slide a bit. I won't give away any of story line but Griffin and Autumn have a few bumps along the way both from their past experiences and from growing pains of getting to know each other. I loved their instant chemistry and waiting to see how they would find their path.
Once again I found myself drawn into Carrie Ann Ryan's book from the first line straight through to the last word and loved every bit of the journey. I can't wait to see what is next for the Montgomery Ink family.
I give this book a five star rating, the characters were so fabulous and I enjoyed the story a great deal.
